Arrow of Light Cub Scouts learn about Middletown government

They got to check out township vehicles and lead the Pledge of Allegiance

The Arrow of Light Cub Scouts recently visited the Middletown Township Municipal Center to learn about local government and lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the board of supervisors meeting.

The scouts learned about how local governments operate and the importance of keeping the community safe. Department directors discussed what they do and how it helps the community. After these presentations, the scouts went outside to see a fire truck, police car, snow plow and other township vehicles. Staff members even brought the cub scouts into the vehicles to show them how they are operated.

Following a tour of the police department, the scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance at the meeting.
